Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common inquiries about our website, services, and the community.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment on the website, there is a link on the home page. Alternatively, you can call the reception team to make an appointment at a time convenient for you.
How much does an appointment cost?
The cost of appointments are displayed on the website. The fee charged varies with the service and appointment type you have booked. The reception team are happy to clarify these costs for you if needed.
Does my GP know about my appointment?
This depends on you. For medical safety and good health care we recommend that after all consultations a copy of the notes or letter of outcome are sent to the GP for your benefit. If you do not want this to occur then you can advise in the appointment and this will be kept in Tamar Health only.
How can I get an X-Ray or scan if needed?
If there would be benefit for scan or X-Ray to be taken then we can refer you to have this done. The clinic will likely charge Tamar Health and we will in turn pass that cost on to you. The scan will not happen until payment is cleared with the hospital or clinic.
Can I contribute my own questions or suggestions to this page?
Absolutely! We welcome community input. If you have a suggestion or question you think would benefit others, feel free to share it with us via our contact page.
Where is the clinic located?
The clinic is located in the north of Plymouth. We are fortunate to use the Tor Clinic in Estover, there is a map on the ‘contact us’ page. Contact Us
