A CQC-registered clinic run by clinicians, for people who need to be seen without a long wait. We are independent of the NHS, and can send a summary to your NHS GP if you want us to.
Why we started
Too many people were waiting too long.
Tamar Health began because patients were waiting weeks to be seen, and clinicians were worried about what those delays meant for safety.
We are not a criticism of the NHS. We are another option for people who cannot wait, run by clinicians who have spent their careers in it.
Independent of the NHS
- We are a private clinic and do not work for the NHS.
- Stay registered with your NHS GP. We encourage it.
- If you want, we send a summary to your NHS GP after your appointment.
- If you need a specialist, we can refer you privately, or write to your GP.

Why our services are private
We would make it free if we could. Running a safe clinic costs money: the rooms, the equipment, insurance, training, systems and governance.
Being private lets us give you longer appointments, faster access and the same clinician each time, with every price shown before you book.
