Lifestyle Screen Blood Test

Lifestyle Screen blood test in Plymouth

The Lifestyle Screen is our broadest single-appointment blood panel: 45 results covering your full blood count, kidney and liver function, a full Cholesterol picture, HbA1c, a complete Iron panel, and the vitamins most worth knowing about. One appointment, one set of results, with a written commentary from a Clinician.

Where this sits. If Basic or Standard Screen cover the ground you need, they are the simpler and less expensive choice. Lifestyle Screen is the step up from Standard Screen: the same core panels, plus a full Iron Studies panel and Vitamin B12, Folate and Vitamin D, which Standard Screen does not include.

Who should get this test?

Lifestyle Screen suits anyone who wants a genuinely broad picture in a single visit, rather than a narrow answer to one question. It is a good fit if you want your general health, Iron levels and key vitamins checked together, for example if you have been feeling below par without a specific symptom pointing anywhere in particular, or if you simply want a thorough annual check that goes further than a basic panel.

If you have a specific concern, a more targeted test is usually the better and less expensive choice. Persistent exhaustion is better served by Tired All The Time, which goes deeper on Thyroid, Iron and Insulin than Lifestyle Screen does. A Thyroid or cancer-marker check is better served by Standard Screen Plus. If you are not sure which is right for you, we are happy to advise before you book.

What happens at your appointment

Fasting is required for this test, since it includes a full Cholesterol panel, so please have nothing but water for 10 to 12 hours beforehand. A trained phlebotomist will take your blood sample, which usually takes five to ten minutes. Results are typically back the next working day, with a written commentary from a Clinician explaining what they mean.

Current pricing for Lifestyle Screen is on our price list.

Want the whole-person side too? This is a blood test only. If you would also like clinical measurements, BMI, a urine dipstick and a written lifestyle plan covering diet, sleep, stress and activity, that is a separate appointment, our Lifestyle Review. Many people book the two together.
