Blood Test Price list

Blood test prices in Plymouth

Every price on this page is the total you pay. It covers your appointment, the blood draw, laboratory processing by Nationwide Pathology, and your results by email with a written commentary from a clinician. Nothing is added at checkout and there is no separate phlebotomy charge.

How payment works. A £25 appointment fee is taken when you book, which secures your slot. The balance is paid in clinic on the day. All appointments must be booked in advance; we do not accept walk-ins.

Which screen? Basic and Standard cover the ground most people mean by a general check. Lifestyle adds a full Iron panel and the vitamins. Standard Screen Plus adds a complete Thyroid panel with Antibodies. Tired All The Time is the one to pick if you have a specific problem, namely exhaustion, rather than wanting a general look, because it goes deeper on Thyroid, iron and Insulin than any of the others.

TestWhat it coversPrice
Advanced ThyroidTSH, Free Thyroxine, Free T3, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies and Thyroglobulin Antibodies. The Antibodies often turn positive years before TSH does£95

Avoid biotin and high-dose B vitamin supplements for 48 hours before any thyroid test. They interfere with the assay and produce misleading results. You must wait 6 weeks since any scan with contrast before measuring Thyroid levels.

Nutrition, Vitamins & Iron

Folate, Vitamin B12, Ferritin and Vitamin D on their own are listed under Single Tests above. The panels below go further than a single marker.

Anaemia Profile22 results. Full Blood Count, complete Iron Studies, Vitamin B12, Folate and High-Sensitivity CRP. Covers the causes behind most anaemia, and the CRP shows whether a reassuring Ferritin is being masked by inflammation£115

Ongoing Monitoring

For anyone taking something long term and wanting it kept an eye on, whether that is Testosterone, weight-loss injections, supplements or prescribed medication. The tests are the same ones listed above, so there is no separate monitoring price.

What to book, and why. On Testosterone therapy, the Testosterone Therapy Monitoring panel at £85 checks your level and your Haematocrit together, which is the combination that matters. On weight-loss injections, the Standard Screen Plus at £173 works as a baseline and a follow-up. On long-term prescribed medication, the Standard Screen at £122 or Liver Function + Ferritin at £75 covers most requirements.
